    <p>Diese Seite beschreibt die Portierung von FreeBSD auf die
      <a href="http://www.amd.com/">AMDs</a> AMD64-Architektur sowie
      die <a
      href="http://developer.intel.com/technology/intel64/index.htm">
      Intel&reg;64</a>-Architektur.  AMD64 wurde fr&#252;her x86-64
      oder ``Hammer'' genannt.  Die Intel 64-Architektur war auch unter
      den Namen Yamhill, Clackamas Technology (CT), IA-32e, sowie
      EM64T (Extended Memory 64-bit Technology) bekannt.</p>

    <p>Der AMD Opteron&trade;, der AMD Athlon&trade;&nbsp;64, der
      AMD Turion&trade;&nbsp;64 sowie die neueren
      AMD&nbsp;Sempron&trade;-Prozessoren verwenden die
      AMD64-Architektur.</p>

    <p>Die Prozessoren Intel vPro&trade;, Intel Celeron D (allerdings nur
      einige Modelle seit ``Prescott''), Intel Centrino&reg; Duo, Intel
      Centrino&reg; Pro, Intel Viiv&trade;, Intel Core&trade;2 Extreme,
      Intel Core&trade;2 Quad, Intel Core&trade;2 Duo, Intel Xeon
      (3000-sequence, 5000-sequence, und 7000-sequence) verwenden die
      Intel&reg;64-Architektur.</p>

    <h3>Status</h3>

    <p>FreeBSD/amd64 l&#228;uft im 64-Bit Mehrbenutzer-Modus,
      sowohl im Einprozessor-Betrieb als auch im Mehrprozessor-Betrieb.</p>

    <p>Die AMD64 Plattform ist momentan eine <a
      href="&enbase;/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/articles/committers-guide/archs.html">Tier&nbsp;1</a>
      FreeBSD Plattform.</p>
