* Mk/Uses: always use colon for build/run suffixFelix Palmen2022-09-111-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | Most USES use a colon for build/run(/test) suffixes. Change kde.mk, qt.mk and pyqt.mk to do the same, and update all ports using that. Document in CHANGES. PR: 266034 Exp-run by: antoine Approved by: tcberner (mentor) Differential Revision: https://reviews.freebsd.org/D36349
* Add WWW entries to port MakefilesStefan Eßer2022-09-071-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | It has been common practice to have one or more URLs at the end of the ports' pkg-descr files, one per line and prefixed with "WWW:". These URLs should point at a project website or other relevant resources. Access to these URLs required processing of the pkg-descr files, and they have often become stale over time. If more than one such URL was present in a pkg-descr file, only the first one was tarnsfered into the port INDEX, but for many ports only the last line did contain the port specific URL to further information. There have been several proposals to make a project URL available as a macro in the ports' Makefiles, over time. This commit implements such a proposal and moves one of the WWW: entries of each pkg-descr file into the respective port's Makefile. A heuristic attempts to identify the most relevant URL in case there is more than one WWW: entry in some pkg-descr file. URLs that are not moved into the Makefile are prefixed with "See also:" instead of "WWW:" in the pkg-descr files in order to preserve them. There are 1256 ports that had no WWW: entries in pkg-descr files. These ports will not be touched in this commit. The portlint port has been adjusted to expect a WWW entry in each port Makefile, and to flag any remaining "WWW:" lines in pkg-descr files as deprecated. Approved by: portmgr (tcberner)

* Fix Qt5 symbol version scripts to put the catch-all clause first. WhenTijl Coosemans2019-01-161-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | a symbol matches multiple clauses the last one takes precedence. If the catch-all is last it captures everything. In the case of Qt5 libraries this caused all symbols to have a Qt_5 label while some should have Qt_5_PRIVATE_API. This only affects lld because GNU ld always gives the catch-all lowest priority. Older versions of Qt5Webengine exported some memory allocation symbols from the bundled Chromium. Version 5.9 stopped exporting these [1] but the symbols were kept as weak wrappers for the standard allocation functions to maintain binary compatibility. [2][3] The problem is that the call to the standard function in these weak wrappers is only resolved to the standard function if there's a call to this standard function in other parts of Qt5Webengine, because only then is there a non-weak symbol that takes precedence over the weak one. If there's no such non-weak symbol the call in the weak wrapper resolves to the weak wrapper itself creating an infinite call loop that overflows the stack and causes a crash. Some of the allocation functions are variants of C++ new and delete and it probably depends on the compiler whether these variants are used in other parts of Qt5Webengine. Remove the weak wrappers (make them Linux specific). This isn't binary compatible but we are already breaking that with the changes to the symbol versions. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In this version, libgpgme-pthread.so has been removed in favor of just using libgpgme.so as the thread-safe library. PORTREVISION has been bumped on all ports depending on security/gpgme so that any that may have linked to -lgpgme-pthread will link to -lgpgme instead. The Python module provided by security/py-gpgme has been renamed upstream from pyme3 to gpg. This removes the conflict with security/py-pyme, although security/py-gpgme is still the direct replacement of that module. Notes: svn path=/head/; revision=427185
* Replace Mk/bsd.kde4.mk by Mk/Uses/kde.mk in preparation for KDE Frameworks andTobias C. Berner2016-08-241-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Plasma5 ports At the moment KDE ports use bsd.kde4.mk to handle their dependencies. When working on the ports for KDE Frameworks and Plasma5 it seemed to be more reasonable to create a new kde.mk instead of adding an bsd.kde5.mk. The kde.mk in this review is a stripped down version of the one we are using in the KDE Test repositories plasma5 branch [1] to only contain the parts relevant to the current KDE4 ports in the portstree [2]. Changes to the KDE Ports needed by this: Replace USE_KDE4 by USE_KDE [3] Add USES=kde:4 [4] [1] http://src.mouf.net/area51/view/branches/plasma5/KDE/Mk/Uses/kde.mk [2] The version in the plasma5 branch also handles frameworks/plasma5 and handles MASTER_SITES via a KDE_DIST variable similar to bsd.qt.mk for Qt Ports -- I chose to leave this out for now, as the diff is already large enough. [3] I chose USE_KDE instead of USE_KDE4, USE_KDE5, USE_KDEX as the version we want is already specified as argument to kde:<arg> [4] For KDE Frameworks and Plasma5 ports this would be kde:5 PR: 210667 Approved by: portmgr, mat (mentor), rakuco (mentor) Reviewed by: mat, rakuco Differential Revision: https://reviews.freebsd.org/D6961 Notes: svn path=/head/; revision=420774

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | first contains runtime libraries such as libintl and the latter contains developer tools such as msgfmt. Ports that use gettext will usually need a LIB_DEPENDS on gettext-runtime and a BUILD_DEPENDS on gettext-tools. USES=gettext-runtime can be used to set a LIB/BUILD/RUN_DEPENDS on devel/gettext-runtime and USES=gettext-tools can be used to set a BUILD/RUN_DEPENDS on devel/gettext-tools. USES=gettext is now the same as "USES=gettext-runtime gettext-tools" meaning a LIB_DEPENDS on devel/gettext-runtime and a BUILD_DEPENDS on devel/gettext-tools. Update gettext to 0.19.3. Remove :oldver from converters/libiconv and devel/gettext-runtime. Leave symlinks with the old library versions to avoid the need to bump PORTREVISION on a large number of dependent ports. When most of the dependent ports have had normal version updates, PORTREVISION can be bumped on the remaining ones (low number) and the links can be removed.
