* Update CONFIGURE_ARGS for how we pass CONFIGURE_TARGET to configure script.Rong-En Fan2008-08-211-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Specifically, newer autoconf (> 2.13) has different semantic of the configure target. In short, one should use --build=CONFIGURE_TARGET instead of CONFIGURE_TARGET directly. Otherwise, you will get a warning and the old semantic may be removed in later autoconf releases. To workaround this issue, many ports hack the CONFIGURE_TARGET variable so that it contains the ``--build='' prefix. To solve this issue, under the fact that some ports still have configure script generated by the old autoconf, we use runtime detection in the do-configure target so that the proper argument can be used. Changes to Mk/*: - Add runtime detection magic in bsd.port.mk - Remove CONFIGURE_TARGET hack in various bsd.*.mk - USE_GNOME=gnometarget is now an no-op Changes to individual ports, other than removing the CONFIGURE_TARGET hack: = pkg-plist changed (due to the ugly CONFIGURE_TARGET prefix in * executables) - comms/gnuradio - science/abinit - science/elmer-fem - science/elmer-matc - science/elmer-meshgen2d - science/elmerfront - science/elmerpost = use x86_64 as ARCH - devel/g-wrap = other changes - print/magicfilter GNU_CONFIGURE -> HAS_CONFIGURE since it's not generated by autoconf Total # of ports modified: 1,027 Total # of ports affected: ~7,000 (set GNU_CONFIGURE to yes) PR: 126524 (obsoletes 52917) Submitted by: rafan Tested on: two pointyhat 7-amd64 exp runs (by pav) Approved by: portmgr (pav) Notes: svn path=/head/; revision=218938

* Presenting GNOME 2.20.1 and all related works for FreeBSD. The officialJoe Marcus Clarke2007-10-243-10/+11
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | GNOME 2.20 release notes can be found at http://www.gnome.org/start/2.20/notes/en/ . Beyond that, this update includes the new GIMP 2.4 (courtesy of ahze). The GNOME 2.20 update also includes a huge change in the FreeBSD GNOME hierarchy. We are now using the more standard DATADIR of ${PREFIX}/share rather than ${PREFIX}/share/gnome. The result is that fewer patches and hacks are needed to port GNOME components to FreeBSD. This will mean some user changes may be required, so be sure to read /usr/ports/UPDATING for more details. This release and the things we accomplished in it would not have been possible without mezz's crazy idea to collapse DATADIR, and his persistence to make it happen successfully. Ahze and pav also deserve thanks for their work on porting modules and testing the whole ball of wax on pointyhat (respectively). The FreeBSD GNOME team would also like to thank our various testers and contributors: Yasuda Keisuke Frank Jahnke Pawel Worach Brian Gruber Franz Klammer Yuri Pankov Nick Barkas Cristian KLEIN Tony Maher Scot Hetzel Martin Matuska (mm) Benoit Dejean Martin Wilke (miwi) (And anyone else I may have missed) PRs fixed in this release: 111272, 113470, 115995, 116338 Notes: svn path=/head/; revision=201947

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | in bsd.autotools.mk essentially makes this a no-op given that all the old variables set a USE_AUTOTOOLS_COMPAT variable, which is parsed in exactly the same way as USE_AUTOTOOLS itself. Moreover, USE_AUTOTOOLS has already been extensively tested by the GNOME team -- all GNOME 2.12.x ports use it. Preliminary documentation can be found at: http://people.FreeBSD.org/~ade/autotools.txt which is in the process of being SGMLized before introduction into the Porters Handbook. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Begin autotools sanitization sequence by requiring ports to explicitly specify which version of {libtool,autoconf,automake} they need, erasing the concept of a "system default". For ports-in-waiting: USE_LIBTOOL=YES -> USE_LIBTOOL_VER=13 USE_AUTOCONF=YES -> USE_AUTOCONF_VER=213 USE_AUTOMAKE=YES -> USE_AUTOMAKE_VER=14 Ports attempting to use the old style system after June 1st 2004 will be sorely disappointed. * New port: games/gturing - A simple Turing machine for gnome2Edwin Groothuis2003-01-218-0/+170
Gturing is a simple turing machine simulator with graphical interface. A Turing machine is the simplest possible computing device which can only perform very simple operations. However, almost everything in programming languages can be written as a program for the Turing machine. It's a nice complement for students who likes to practice with theory and a nice toy to play with.
