* (lib)vgm support is removed for now as it now uses a separate
repo upstream
* Add -fexperimental-library to CXXFLAGS to support build using
LLVM/Clang
* Backport upstream commit 4ac26409f891154e47ac8e7509bcbaa8c4f6828b
